SIGHT GLASSES

Resistochem Sight Glasses are offered in a variety of shapes, materials and sizes. A Sight Glass, or also know as Sight Windows or View Port, is a transparent window that enables a Clear Visual Inspection inside of a tank or process pipe. Process plant operators use these type of Sight Glasses to verify the product stages of a process visually, and inspect media or fluids for changes in coloration, flow or consistency. 

 

Our Lined Sight Glasses are manufactured from Cast Steel, or Stainless steel with a lining in PFA, FEP, or PVDF that creates a barrier against any aggressive chemicals or gases.  

 

Depending upon application, we can offer body materials in Ductile Iron, WCB or Stainless Steel that is PFA lined that offer both long service life and high corrosion resistance due to the thick, uniform, blowhole-free lining. The liners’ non-stick and inert properties are ideal for highly viscous and high purity applications. 

 

All surfaces of the sight glass wet parts are lined with a fluoropolymer to protect service life from chemical corrosion. Safety Glasses used are Borosilicate glass that are ideal for aggressive chemicals that can  withstand high temperatures, mechanical stress, and corrosion from aggressive applications.

Our plastic Sight glasses are supplied in full plastic body such as Polypropylene, PP-H or PVDF which are designed for specific chemicals, flanged or union/socket type with Borosilicate Tube sight glasses and stainless-steel mounting bolts and nuts.

Resistochem cc also can offer Borosilicate glass in tube or disc form used for replacement of existing sight glass components. Available in various thicknesses and lengths to suit your application. 

Resistochem cc also offers specific food grade sight glasses that are sanitary grade, specific to food and beverages. They are manufactured from SS316 using PTFE Seals, flanged and uses Borosilicate glass as the preferred choice. 

 

Flange drillings are available in Class 150, 300, BS4504 or PN10/16. Special drilling on request.
